If you use social media, chances are that you have encountered an internet troll in the comment sections of a post you are viewing. An internet troll is basically a person who purposefully starts arguments on the internet just for the enjoyment of it. Not only do they start arguments but they also insult others for no reason. These insults may seem harmless but they may cause real harm.
Internet trolls get enjoyment out of the constant arguments they create. When people reply to them in anger, it just encourages them to spread more hate. The best way to handle an internet troll is to simply just ignore them. Ignoring them will cause the troll to be bored because he is not getting the reaction he was expecting. The only reason a troll continues to be rude is because he finds it amusing when people get angry at what they said. However, this trolling can sometimes become more serious.
Internet trolls also insult people in a way that can make people feel depressed. This can lead to the person feeling worthless which is something nobody should feel. People should always ignore the rude insults they are given in the internet and not take it seriously. Without internet trolls, the internet would be a much better place but that will never happen.
